What is Retatrutide
Retatrutide (sometimes called Reta) is an investigational drug (still in clinical trials) that shows significant promise in treating obesity and type-2 diabetes. Typically, it's injected once weekly. The special part of Retatrutide is it acts in three ways.
Drugs like Semaglutide (also known as Ozempic, Wegovy, Rybelsus) act on GLP-1 or Glucagon-Like Peptide 1. This peptide promotes insulin secretion (important for diabetics), reduces appetite, and slows emptying of the stomach.
A drug like Tirzepatide (also known as Mounjaro or Zepbound) act in two ways, GLP1 like Semaglutide, and GIP, or Glucose-dependent insulinotropic poylpeptide. GIP has a similar impact on the body as GLP-1 but does this through a different mechanism in the body. Typically, Tirzepatide is more effective because it works in multiple ways.
Retatrutide, acts on GIP and GLP1 and also adds a third mechanism to it's toolbox, Glugacon (or GCG). GCG inscreases a persons energy expenditure and helps to regulate glucose in the body.
Due to the three hormone receptors that Retatrutide is working with, it's quite often more effective than the other options. Some studies have shows weight-loss of up to ~30% over a year of use.
How to Reconstitute Retatrutide
Reconstituting Retatrutide properly ensures accurate dosing and safety. This guide explains how to use our calculator and tracker to mix and manage your reconstituted Retatrutide solution. I like using a calculator to avoid simple math issues (and keeps me from having to think too much). I've tried plenty of simple options in the past - notes on my phone, paper, google sheets - and I'd end up with information spread all over the place. I ended up creating this simple app to do the math for me.
Safety Guidelines: Always source peptides from a trusted source, and always work in a clean environment.
Reconstitution Example
Say you have a 5mg vial of Retatrutide, and you want each 1mg to be administered in 10 units:
- I have: 5 mg
- I want: 1 mg per 10 units
- Result: Add 50 units of fluid
Using the Calculator
Enter your values in the Peptide Calculator: "I have X mg, I want Y mg per Z units" — the calculator will tell you how much bacteriostatic water to add. You can also save your entry to reference later using the built-in tracker. If you'd like to save and track, you'll need to add a name.

Storage Guidelines
After reconstitution, store your Retatrutide vial in the refrigerator. Most peptides remain stable for 2–4 weeks. Always consult your provider or supplier’s handling instructions.
